The privately owned terraced vineyards are in the heart of Valtellina Superiore Grumello and Sassella, at the foot of the Alps. Here everything from vineyard maintenance to harvesting is done by hand. Our vineyards with ramps also of up to 70% are situated between 400 and 650 metres of altitude.
On the terraces which date back to over 1,000 years, we take care and preserve Nebbiolo featuring also 80-year-old vines. Very long-lived vines growing in not deep soils can make a unique wine that touches all of your senses.
It’s a place where you will be enveloped in the magic atmosphere of the old medieval Chiuro centre.
Here the wines rest for many years in a fifteenth century winery with stone walls and barrel vault, where you may find an old press. The underground floor of the historical building hosts the winery, where old vintages and the most precious magnums are well preserved. The ground floor welcomes the guests to the stock and the tasting room.
